So i acquired 3 Dell Optiplex GX400 (pretty obsolete) desktops, after stripping it down bare to salvage parts i din't know what to do with the cases. Initially I wanted to toss them out for recycling but i thought I might as well reuse/upcycle it into something better. At the same time my summer break was coming to an end and I had to pack up my tools to be transported back to collage where I stay away from home. So it struck me to put one and one together and build a toolbox out of the old PC case. Its portable enough for me to transport between collage and home, and can be packed up into a really compact formfactor for storage or transport.

3D printing is generally a monochrome affair. Full-color printers are expensive, so the more casual user is likely stuck printing in one or two colors.
Cédric Kovacs-Johnson and Charles Haider, both chemical engineering undergraduates at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, say they have come up with a solution: a sub-$100 device that upgrades desktop 3D printers to print in a full rainbow of colors. They call it Spectrom.
The system is compatible with fused deposition modeling 3D printers that use a standard-size spool of filament. FDM printers melt string-like plastic bit by bit and lay it down in layers to create an object. Spectrom adds dye to the plastic as it melts, allowing printers to shift between colors.

Since I work in a small flat with no separate space for handcrafts i struggle always with building before and cleaning up afterwards just for simple electronic work. There were always the same tools to search in boxes and cases, plug them in, find wires and solderin tin and so on. So for only 5 minutes work comes together just an hour or so for the setup time. For me the solution was a box where everything can be found at the same space where it belongs to.

Simple philosophy: Everything has a space, everything has its own space.

We have recently had some crazy stormage here in the UK, and the number of wind felled trees about is fairly distressing. Much of these trees have fantastic timber that could be used in any number of woodworking projects, but are destined to be firewood, chipped or simply rot where they lay. A chainsaw mill is the relatively cheap and portable way to turn them into some beautiful planks.

Shubham Banerjee gastou US$ 350, menos de 20% do que seria gasto por uma impressora comum, que gira em torno dos US$ 2 mil. Além das peças de LEGO Mindstorms, também há algumas outras adicionais, como é o caso do rolo de papel de calculadoras. Com os braços robóticos, a impressora é capaz de mover os módulos responsáveis pela perfuração do papel, podendo criar cartas completas em menos de 10 segundos.
