Earlier this fall, I was in the hobby shop to pick up some parts for my Sawback Gmade GM52000 and saw a set of what looked like tiny MatTracks to install on it. Not wanting to spend the $250 the hobby shop wanted for the used set, i thought to myself, "hey! I can make these!"

Since then, I've been through several dozen revisions, getting the fit and look just right, and trying to find all the necessary hardware, along with setting up my printer to handle the rubber material needed to print the tracks and other rubber parts from.

My original design used my own shape of frame, which improved upon other available designs by offering a longer ground contact patch and slightly higher axle lift, while still maintaining clearances to prevent rubbing. My latest design is actually a direct copy of the tracks used on Ken Block's F150 Raptor, "RaptorTrax". I searched the internet for a clear picture, and using measurements from the photo and specs from the Mattracks website, came up with this design, which looks surprisingly realistic.

Today is a big day for GrabCAD, for Autodesk, and for CAD lovers everywhere. We’re partnering with Autodesk to bring AutoCAD 360 and Fusion 360 to our users as part of the newly launched GrabCAD Toolbox

 

Autodesk recently announced AutoCAD 360, which brings powerful, easy-to-use AutoCAD capabilities to the web and mobile devices, as well as Fusion 360, the next generation integrated 3D industrial and mechanical design tool. Both of these products will be available through GrabCAD Toolbox, where users can access 3rd party CAD applications that run on GrabCAD.

This move represents the first time either 2D or 3D design and editing tools have become available through GrabCAD, making sophisticated CAD and collaboration tools accessible to users of all sizes and types.

Sprout: Upcycle the Humble Milk Jug with 3D Printing (VIDEO)

3D Printing is perfect for augmenting an existing product to improve its function and prolong its life.  A perfect example is the 3D printed Sprout by Egant on Shapeways, that transforms the humble milk jug into an elegant watering can with some clever 3D printing magic.

The innovative design has two flow types and uses a captured ball valve so that the center can be used as a funnel yet the ball stops the water from pouring of the funnel aperture when you want to have a steady controlled flow.  This is really smart use of the potential of interlocking and/or captured parts that is possible with Nylon 3D printing whilst upcycling an existing product to prolong its lifecycle.

Arduino ATtiny2313 Programming Shield

Today, I made a small 3x3x3 LED cube with an ATtiny2313 that I had from about 2 weeks ago. Whenever I had to reprogram the LED cube when I thought of more awesome patterns, I had to get out my breadboard and then wire up everything again referring to pin-outs of ATtiny2313 and make sure everything is connected right and then finally upload the new code.

So I went on to eBay and amazon searching for something to program these chips as I was planning on using these chips a lot in the future. After spending about an hour I just realized I was wasting my time as there was no way I was going to spend about 20-30 dollars on a simple shield.

After thinking for a bit, I decided to make a simple and easy to make, ATtiny2313 programming shield, after I made it, all I needed to do to recode any of my attinys' is to just put it in the programming shield and just in a few clicks you have your code uploaded! No need to worry if everything is wired right and make sure there are no short circuits or anything that can short out the chip and fry it or anything else of that sort.

So now in this instructable I will show you how to build one of these shields for yourself!
It costs almost nothing and takes only about 30mins or so to make it

Podem ver acima o Programa, e abaixo, o que agora corre na Youtube, é só irem ao Gestor de Vídeos, e importar o ficheiro .srt que o Subtitle Editor gravou, e já está!
