Uma máquina de Jogos, Lulzbot, e Vídeo em Câmara Lenta

Feita em placa de madeira cortada numa Shopbot, eis algo para pôr na Sala de Jogos, e passar uns momentos bem-passados, feito com um Arduino a controlar, maravilha:

The skee ball machine is a wonderful thing. The simple experience of rolling a ball into a target is so freakishly satisfying that I used to play as much as I could as a kid at the local amusement park/mini-golf course. The sound of the rolling ball on the ramp, the pop as it launched in the air, and the bouncing as you hoped it would hit the 50 or even the 100.

So when the idea for doing a bigger project came up, I jumped at the chance to make a DIY version. I was amazingly lucky to get a lot of help from the folks at Because We Can who did the design and fabrication of the machine on a Shopbot.

Boasting the largest print envelope available for less than US$5,000, the LulzBot TAZ is a RepRap-style 3D printer that presents an open, no-frills design. The TAZ 1.0 is LulzBot’s fourth generation printer, and it uses the company’s sixth generation hot-end (the nozzle and extrusion mechanism for 3D printing). This printer uses an open-source format for both its software and hardware, also known as Libre Hardware.

The Edgertronic high speed video camera aims to to change that, by offering pro specs with a (relatively) affordable price-tag.

Molde cortado a Laser! E uma história simplesmente inspiradora!

Estive hoje na Fablab EDP, onde malta porreira, como o Luís e o Ferdy, vos ajudam a fazer, por exemplo, estes dois Moldes para fazer a Pen & Note, em Oogoo, ou Sugru... ou  o que queiram!

São feitos em Acrílico Tranparente, para que vejam se a pasta que lá ponham está MESMO bem inserida em todo o Molde... Mas também tem um aspecto impecável!  


Não, a foto não está ao contrário, lembrem-se, na Moldagem, como nos Carimbos tem de se inserir o Texto ao contrário, para sair a direito!


Vê -se bem, aqui, o Vazio onde vai entrar o Oogoo, ou outro Material...


Mas aqui, ainda se vê melhor!


A Tampa sai fácilmente, porque os Parafusos só seguram as outras camadas do molde.

Ted Hall, founder and CEO of ShopBot Tools, Inc., first got excited about digital fabrication 20 years ago. Ted wanted a digitally controlled tool that would cut plywood parts for backyard boatbuilding projects. In trying to find such a tool, he learned that the CNC (computer numerically controlled) technology of the time was heavily industrial and oriented to high-volume manufacturing. Ted's idea, which would become ShopBot, was to create a digital fabrication tool that was instead oriented to use by individuals and small shops.

Just last weekend, amandaghassaei published her Laser Cut Record. The work is more than great with a tons of experimentations and descriptions! However, thorough these days, we also prepared to publish our version of Laser Cut Record with prior acoustic information as a part of our "cutting record - a record without (or with) prior acoustic information" project at IAMAS. To be honest, the work is still in its experimental stage and very close to amandaghassaei's work. But we decide to publish it to stimulate the scene (Hope it exists!) and further investigations with a lot of common points and a few differences especially in our codes. Here is our version.

Sean Kinkade started RC ornithopter development for the hobby market as a life long passion starting early in life. Throughout the 1980's and 1990's gradual progress was made with various prototype models.
Breakthrough success finally came in 1998 with the nitro powered VT-series of models which led to the 1999 release of the world's first production RC ornithopter called the SkyBird. The trend in RC around the time of the SkyBird was more towards electric power and especially smaller "park flyers" as battery, motor, and radio technology rapidly advanced. Kinkade followed this trend which resulted in the development of the Park Hawk, the first production electric RC ornithopter.

Ganda máquina!

Isto já dá para muito Engenhocas abrir Loja, e depois, comprar uma máquina maior, para FABRICAR em série, as suas Invenções!


The Buddy is a small footprint CNC (computer numerically controlled) machine designed for industrial, commercial, or residential applications cutting in wood, acrylic and non-ferrous metals. CNC machines are powerful tools controlled from a computer software program which enable you to make everything from simple cut-out shapes to intricate 3D carvings (and everything in between). Typically these machines are large, heavy, expensive, difficult to work with and so have been mainly used in industrial settings. The Buddy incorporates many of the same features as ShopBot's full-size industrial systems, yet weighs less than 600lbs and occupies as little as 16 sq. ft. of floor space. It also comes with easy to use but functional software to drive the machine to make parts for everything from the dedicated home improver to a small business owner. Buddies are available with either a 24"x32" work area or a 24"x48" work area and come pre-assembled and ready to plug in and use. This work area can be expanded by use of the PowerStick attachment to lengths up to 8 feet.
