Cagebot, excepcional!

What is Cagebot?
Modular in every way.

Cagebot is a modular robotic-kit that allows you to build your vision of the future today.
Dive into the wondrous world of robotics. Cagebot features a variety of modular components. That means you have countless possibilities in your hand. Cagebot components are compatible with other systems like LEGO Mindstorms™, so there are endless possibilities. Motors, sensors and energy sources become the building blocks of your imagination. No matter if you want to build an automated camera rig, RC-Car or an intelligent vacuum cleaner – everything is possible. Just snap the modules together, grab your computer and bring it to life. It’s that simple.

Cool New Tech Can Print Full Color Holograms with Regular Inkjet Printers
DL CADE

Printing a hologram usually involves some sort of special materials or lenses, but a company called Lumii has invented a way to do it with a regular old Epson inkjet printer! The resulting ‘lightfield prints’ look for all the world like 3D, full-color holograms.
Lumii is currently showing off the tech at Siggraph 2016, where the folks at ElectricTV spoke with Co-Founder and CEO Tom Baran and shared a preview of the tech in action.

IKEA Infinity Mirror
dmilesson
I decided to try building an infinity mirror after seeing this post here on instructables. I had the IKEA frame laying around and decided to try to use that, and it was actually a really god fit for this project.
You'll need:
IKEA Ribba Frame (ribba)
LEDs - I used RGB (WS2812B)
Mirror Film (film)
Mirror
Wire
LED Driver (Arduino or a kit that comes with the RGB LED strips)
5V Adaptor
You could maka a simpler version by just using a single piece of LED strip and wrap that around the sides, but I had these LEDs laying around from another project.
The RIBBA frame is available in black which would save you the painting also.

My Ray Gun From Found Objects

keebie81
This is my interpretation of a ray gun that I made with some parts found at Delaney's Surplus a few years ago.
You will need something with a handle. I found this Type-2E Metco Metallizing Gun.
Then you need something that matches up well at looks like it could shoot some cosmic rays and kill some bad guys. Vacuum tubes always work great for this part. I am using a 5868 United Electron vacuum tube. It is fairly big. Measures in at about 6" tall and 4.5" diameter.
I also have this old screwdriver thingy that could work as a handle but did not have a smaller vacuum tube at the moment. I will save that for another project.
